Summary

A straphanger pitches a radical solution to subway crowding: worker-only hours from 8 to 9 AM and 5 to 6 PM. No tourists allowed. The logic is simple. There's "absolutely no reason for a European family of five with all their luggage" to clog up the morning commute when ten workers could be using that space instead. Kareem loves it. The rider insists the evening restriction matters just as much, partly for service industry schedules but mostly because they need to "be in a recumbent position as soon as possible." It's a fantasy transit policy born from pure commuter exhaustion.

There should be worker-only hours on the subway, specifically 8 to 9 and 5 to 6. 100% agree. That is a great idea. There's absolutely no reason for a European family of five with all their luggage to be on my morning commute. Like, this morning, that is 10 people that could have been using that space and not suffering on their way to their job.

So between the hours of 8 and 9, workers only. Between the hours of 5 and 6, yeah, workers only? 'Cause service industry, but also because I need to go home and lie down. I just need to be in a recumbent position as soon as possible.
