If you need a stylist, then you're not stylish
Summary
A stylish stranger wearing python boots drops a bold declaration: if you need a stylist, you're not stylish. His own fashion awakening? Trying on Versace jeans in Florence as a teenager, black in the front and white in the back, which sparked his entire aesthetic transformation. He tells Kareem his inspirations range from 80s Sylvester Stallone and Miami Vice to 70s pimps, and he's hunting for platform boots with live goldfish swimming in the heels. The advice is simple. Develop your own style. Make it personal, don't copy everyone else, because there's too many sheep and not enough wolves.

Look at the boots. What kind of boots are those? Python boots.
What kind of boots? Python.
Python. Oh. Why are you doing that with your tongue? Because I was uh, emulating the python.
Where did you develop your sense of style? When I was a teenager, they took me to Versace in Florence, in Italy, Florence. And then I tried a pair of jeans. It was black in the front and white in the back and I tried. I thought I looked amazing and I was like that's it.
That is what developed your sense of style for the rest of your life. Yeah. That, because before, I always wear the same clothes I was not into it and everything and then all of a sudden boom just opened up.
And now you're one of the most interesting dressed men in New York City. If you say so.
Who are your style inspirations? I like 80s Sylvester Stallone. I like 70s 80s John Travolta. I like Miami Vice 80s style like American Gigolo, that George Armani, 90s, 80s. I like the pimps. I like those 70s pimps. As a matter of fact, I'm trying to get platform boots with a goldfish in the heel, you know what I mean? With a little water and a goldfish, a live goldfish and walking around with a fur coat and a cane.
What about George Michael? George Michael is cool with the earring.
You have the earring that he has.
What's one tip that you would give to everyone uh that that's looking to develop a sense of style? Just develop a sense of style. Whatever you like. Just make it personal. Don't make it like don't copy everybody. There's too many ships, not enough wolves, you know what I mean?
100%, agree. 100%, agree.
